1 avr. 1916 - Deportation of French Women
Description:
Over Easter of 1916, more than 20,000 women and girls were deported from French cities such as Lille, Tourcoing and Roubaix. This was for them to do forced agricultural work in other parts of France. These people were no longer respected and were forced to undergo certain tests and were treated as trash. It was said they would be "paying with their own persons" for the sacrifices necessary and done by German women on the home front. This was significant because many countries joined in and resulted in forced labor in many countries.
