Description:

Granted the state and its genies extensive powers over the lives of ordinary citizens. it gave the government control of arms factories, censorship over the media and restriction of freedom of information, controls ion imports and exports, control of coal and rail industries, the Ministry of Munitions was set up, Trade Unions were granted higher wages in return for not striking, companies had to accept restrictions on their profits and guarantee minimum wages to workers, conscription, food rationing, restrictions on opening hours, passports to travel abroad and limitations on movement in Britain.
