President of the Union. Has to deal with the threat of the South, but also with the threat of foreign powers. Had an established government and nation to command. He did a lot of actions without the approval of Congress because it was not in session yet. Established the National Banking System. Wrote the Emancipation Proclamation and had to go through the stress of winning the Election of 1864 during the war.
