- heat, rain, fear of tribes ahead put an end to alexander’s eastward push

- he threw a huge ass tantrum

- told him they could go loot a city

- gave a speech about how the next trek would be easy and uneventful

- retreated to his tent and sulked

- finally emerged and called for omens to be taken which were unfavorable towards pushing east more

- orrrrr he wanted to stop there and didn’t want to take the responsibility for it :O tea
