Description:
The Reign of Terror was a very dark time during the French revolution where thousands of people died. During this time, the revolutionary Government was being pressured by civil war inside of France and hostile armies surrounding France. In retaliation, the revolutionary government took harsh measures against those suspected of being enemies of the state.Between June 1793 and the end of July 1794, there where 16,594 official death sentences given out by the Revolutionary Government.
French Nationalism changed because, although the people and citizens of FRance were now free, there was a lot of conflict and struggle. This caused the French Nationalism to have a negative impact as people began consider what they believed in; country or individual.
