Odin enters Odinsleep, a sleep to recharge his abilities. This sleep can last anywhere between 10 hours to a week. The sleep cannot be broken and leaves odin in a vulnerable mortal state.

After Odin enters odinsleep, Loki, who is engulfed by revenge and hatred to his step-brother Thor, plots to backstab and kill Thor, so Loki can become king of Asguard.
