Description:

The Dred Scott decision ruled that African American's had absolutely no rights at all. It was a case that involved Dred Scott, a slave, against Sandford. it was ruled the Scott was the property of his owner and could be taken with him anywhere, even slavery free states in the north. It basically ruled that slavery was legal everywhere.
