Description:

She was the first women to be elected into Congress. She was known for voting against going into WWI and WWII. She also worked to secure voting rights for women and improve health rights for infants and women. She started her career as a secretary for the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA). She then became the first woman to address the Montana Legislature in support of women's suffrage.
