Description:
Railroads were booming and a guy named Stephen Douglas wanted to build a railroad going into Illinois. In order for this to work Nebraska and Kansas must become a state. This led into the Kansas Nebraska Act. Since Stephen didn't want to decide to be against or for slavery the idea of popular sovereignty came up.
