19 avr. 1775 - Lexington and Concord

Description:

The Battle of Lexington was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. The day before the battle, Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott rode out to spread word that 700 British troops were headed for Concord. A group of 70 minutemen drew up the lines on the village’s open area. Someone shot fire, and the British soldiers sent bombardment of bullets into the dispersing militia. Ten were killed and ten more were wounded. This battle lasted for about only 15 minutes. Later, the British were peacefully marching from Concord back to Boston, when they were ambushed and the march quickly became a slaughter.
