Description:
On August 6th, 1945, the first Atomic bomb is dropped. A second is dropped three days later. The combined death toll is estimated at 250,000 people, and it practically forced a surrender. The alternatives were a full siege of Japan, a land invasion of Japan, or a conditional surrender.
