• Missing left hand, but it was up
• Kore- young woman, clothed
• Counterpart to kouros
• Most likely an offering to the goddess athena
• Research suggests that this is a goddess and not an offering
• Originally painted, coloration is difficult to see
• Could be Artemis or Athena
• Rods around hear and holes in ears suggest evidence of jewelry and crown
• Painted, but only color red survived
• Archaic smile
