1 janv. 1971 - the "Trail of Broken Treaties" march on Washington, D.C- app. 1,000 angry Native Americans seized files from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or BIA, offices causing >$2 mil in damages.The Nixon administration provided $66,000 in transportation monies in return for a peaceful end to the takeover and agreed to appoint a NA to a BIA post.
