Neil Armstrong was a aeronautical engineer, a naval aviator, university professor, test pilot as well as an NASA astronaut who was most famous for being the first person to walk on the moon. Neil first joined NASA in 1962 and on July 20th, 1969, seven years later he went on the mission to land on the moon. After a 109 hours and 42 minute launch, he was the first man to walk on the moon, this symbolized one giant leap for man kind, not only that but it gave us the first perspective of earth from space.Added by Tara
