the Louisiana purchase didnt just purchase Louisiana, it also bought Montana, south Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Arkansas. it also bought parts of Texas, north Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, and Minnesota.
