1 janv. 1219 - Hojo Clan's Power Increased
Description:
Hojo Masako and Hojo Tokimasa take over as regents for the Japanese shogun, thus permanently transferring power from the Minamoto to Hojo clans. Hōjō Masako (1156- 1225) is known in Japanese history as the “nun shogun” or “ama shogun” because of her role in the founding of the Kamakura shogunate by her husband, Minamoto no Yoritomo, and because of the powerful position she assumed in the government after his death.
