5 nov 1942 - End of the 2nd Battle of Alamein

Description:

After about 12 days of fighting, Erwin Romme's troops were defeated. Eventually, they were pushed away from the coastal city of El Alamein. However, Rommel's troops were greatly outnumbered.
This battle would later show its significance, as the British were able to utilize the Suez canal. The Suez canal was used to transport troops, materials, and other items from Asia/East Africa to Europe. The British could receive support in Europe from their Asian colonies, quickly through the Suez canal and visa versa.
