Description:
The Austrian Chancellor unwilling held a plebiscite as Hitler insisted to be unified with Austria. Hitler realised the plebiscite could work against his favour and marched his troops into Austria on 12 March 1938. The results polled were 99.75% of Austrians wanted the unification with Germany. Austria was annexed by Germany on 13 March 1939 even though the Anschluss was in direct violation of the TOV.Ajouté au bande de temps:
