Description:
Adonijah made a claim for the throne when David was very old and sick. He tried to take the throne by force with a small army. When David heard about it he named Shlomo as his heir, so Adonijah disbanded. This strengthened Shlomo’s claim and named him as heir and as David’s successor as king.
