3 effects were:

1.) Oliver Cromwell destroyed the monarchy and the House of Lords and established a republic (or commonwealth) in England. (Eventually destroyed the parliament and ran England off of a military government.)

3.) Levellers who called for freedom and equality advocated their beliefs, and Cromwell shut them down with force.

4.) Uprisings from Irish and Scottish Catholics who favored ideas of Charles I occurred.
