3 effects were:1.) Confirmed Philip V as Spanish ruler and the end of the War of Spanish Succession.
2.) The thrones of Spain and France became separate and prohibited them to join again.
3.)Expansion of British empire, but the end of the Golden Age for Spain. French forced to give up some of their colonies.
