Description:
The Boston Massacre involved British Army soldiers and colonists. A group of colonists had surrounded a few soldiers. The two groups began to insult one another. The crowd of colonists continued to grow and the soldiers began to fear for their safety. Thinking they were about to be attacked, the soldiers fired into the crowd. Five people were killed.
The Massacre was a result of the colonists built up anger and in the weeks following the Boston Massacre, the colonies were flooded with anti-British propaganda in newspapers, pamphlets, and political posters.
