Description:

Protest by colonists against the Tea Tax that had been imposed by the British government. They raided three British ships in Boston harbor and dumped 342 containers of tea into the harbor. This was their way of telling the government that they will no longer stand to be taxed without representation. The government did not believe that this was ok and wanted to furthermore prove their authority, which caused the intolerable acts.
