The beginning of a incredibly impactful war, led on by the tense relations of the French and English due to the shared desire for land in North America.

This battle is also known as the French and Indian War, as many First Nations were recruited to fight for either side, andwere an incredible driving factor in the outcome of the battle.
They were presumably the reason the French lasted as long as they did, as they majorly were in support of the French (Although there were still some who were in favour of the English).

Although, despite the aid of the First Nations, the French still lost, and faced incredible economic collapse, and struggled to regain their wealth.

Funds also affected the English, and, despite their win, they also faced heavy financial stress.
