1 janv. 1765 - The Stamp Act
Description:
To pay for the British soldiers who stayed in the colonies to protect them from French and Native American attacks Britain passed the Stamp Act. Stamps bought from the British government had to be put on all documents such as newspapers, playing cards, almanacs pamphlets, and court documents. The colonists were mad because British soldiers were staying in the colonies and they believed it was unfair. The Stamp Act was repealed in 1766 because of the colonies protesting by destroying stamps.
