Description:
Patrick Henry gave a speech which said that Americans should have the same rights as the English. They deserved to be taxed by their own representatives. Henry also came up with a set of resolutions (resolves) but the House of Burgesses defeated them. This created the impression in other colonies that the people of virginia were more militant, and eventually led to other colonial assemblies trying to adopt similar resolutions.Ajouté au bande de temps:
