Description:
The Soviet Union installed nuclear missiles in Cuba, only 90 miles away from the U.S. Kennedy, the U.S. president at the time, decided to enact a naval blockade around Cuba and promised U.S. citizens that he would attack if necessary. In the end, though, he and the Soviet leader, Nikita Khrushchev, came to an agreement and a war never broke out.
