Description:
Four students at the Kent State University were killed and nine were injured. This happened when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a crowd who were protesting against the United States’ involvement in the Vietnam war.
This event further divided America and more protests were held against U.S. military activities in Southeast Asia. This event led the university to close and over 675,000 was paid by the National Guard after a series of court trails.
