Description:
After seven years, Calypso is ordered to release Odysseus by the messenger god Hermes. Odysseus builds a raft and is given clothing, food, and drink by Calypso. When Poseidon learns that Odysseus has escaped, he wrecks the raft but, Odysseus swims ashore on Scherie, the island of the Phaeacians.
