An army led by Attila the Hun was going to attack Rome completely. However, Pope Leo steps in and meets with Attila in an attachment to get him to leave. The meeting was successful and Attila and his army left Rome. This shows that Religion had a great impact on lives then since the Pope was able to prevent an attack from occurring.
