Description:
The Etruscans who lived on the peninsula and several other groups in the region were invaded by Rome. Rome now had complete control over the lands, as a result, The citizens of some defeated cities were allowed to become Roman citizens. While on the other hand some cities were not given rights, such as the ability to trade with Rome. Roman citizens and allies had to pay Roman taxes.
