Description:

The Overland Trails were trails formed by settlers crossing into the new western territories like Oregon and California. These trials would go on for months and months going over the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Rockies, and the Cascade mountains. The trails were dangerous, with native and animal attacks, disease, and starvation being commonplace. Those who weathered the journey were rewarded with a new frontier and unbounded freedom to do whatever it was they had a passion for. Issues arose when these settlers encroached on native lands, and conflict ensued.
