Description:
Johnson vetoed a bill that increased the services offered by Freedmen’s Bureau and a bill that nullified the Black Codes. He also vetoed a bill that guaranteed African American Rights. This marked the end of the first round of the reconstruction. Presidents Lincoln and Johnson brought back the former confederate states to the Union.
