1 janv. 1969 - The Chinese for Affirmative Action
Description:
The Civil Rights movement also motivated Chinese Americans to demand civil rights on behalf of their community as well. Chinese Americans formed this group in response to the struggles of the Chinese children of immigrants in mandatory English only schools. They filed Law v. Nichols and the Supreme Court held that immigrants had the right to bilingual educational opportunities in public schools.
