5 mars 1919 - early Kontrraz structure and activities: provisioning and pursuit of White agents

Description:

During the first period of activity of the Kontrrazvedka in the
spring of 1919, its structure was as follows. The basic nucleus was
found at the staff of the Brigade, and when large cities, such as
Berdyansk and Maryupol, were occupied, separate subdivisions of
the Kontrrazvedka were organized in them which were characteristi-
cally involved in civilian activities: the provisioning of the Brigade
through expropriations and the collection of contributions, as well
as the pursuit of agents and former collaborators of the Whites.
