1 janv. 1786 - Shays's Rebellion

Description:

After the American Revolution, many Americans faced harsh economic conditions and farmers had immense debt. As a result, daniel Shays led a group of farmers that were former veteran soldiers in Massachusetts to attack a federalists arsenal warehouse. The state militia put down the rebellion, and many of its leaders were arrested and two were hung. The significance of this event was that once again it set a precedence for organized protest against unjust economic conditions.
