Description:
The Democratic nominee was John F Kennedy, a Senator from Massachusetts with his VP being Lyndon Johnson from Texas. The Republican nominee was Richard Nixon having been a former VP. His VP was Henry Cabot Lodge. This was the first televised debate between presidents and it showed a calm, good locking JFK against a sweating and uncomfortable Nixon. Kennedy wins the popular vote by 120,000 and the Electoral College 303-219.
