Upon returning to the Harborage and escaping Coldharbour, the Prophet and Lyris both thanked Gondul for his courage, and then spoke with each other — evaluating what had occured in Coldharbour.

Once the three had finished discussing the matter, Gondul mentioned his situation with Rowena and Gudrune. However, it was not the Prophet who gave Gondul the advice he was looking for, but Lyris;

"Run after her and save her as soon as you can, Gondul Early-Beard. I have learned a few things in Coldharbour, one of them being that you cannot let war take your gaze off of the little things. The more important things."

Gondul took Lyris' words of wisdom in for awhile. He removed the soul gem from his pocket, knowing what he was to do next.
