Description:
OnSeptember 23, 1921, Belash, heavily wounded, was captured by the
Reds and ended up on death row in the Kharkov prison. While in
prison he was encouraged by the authorities to write his memoirs
of the Makhnovist movement, aided apparently by a campaign diary.
