Professionally defined as: the refusal to comply with certain laws or to pay taxes and fines, as a peaceful form of political protest.
Thoreau demonstrated his Civil Disobedience by refusing to pay his taxes in protoest of his tax money hoing to funding for the Mexican American war, He thought this war was unjust.
