1 janv. 1989 - "Nickel-Metal Hydride Batteries" (NiMH) - 1989
Description:
Compared to the NiCd batteries, the negative electrodes in the NiMH battery use a hydrogen-absorbing alloy rather than cadmium. This resulted in longer lifespans than the NiCd batteries of about 2-3 times. In addition, cadmium is a toxic material and switching to this new alloy made the battery much safer.
