1 sept. 1918 - Makhno becomes known as 'Batko', named by Schus just before they are forced into hopelessly assaulting an Austrian battalion and pomeschik detachment, and routing them entirely. subsequently, in revenge, the village where they did it suffers shelling, executions and the entire village being burnt to the ground.
