This would lead to the surrendur of Spain in what would be the treayt of Paris in which the United States gave Spain 20 million dollars in in return Cuba would gain its independece as well as the united states shwoing the beignings of an empire witht the gaining of puerto Rico, the philipines, and various other territories.
