Now truly at a loss — with his lover's remains left to rest and decay and his best Legionnaire leaving the Brotherband to raise his child, Gondul clung to one of the remaining hopes he had left: the survival of his childhood friend Guilidus Frost-Bane.

Gondul rode for Ebonheart, where Guilidus' letter claimed he was residing with a mage at the Mages Guild. Upon his arrival, Gondul was met by Dainsleif. After briefing the man on the fate of his friend, and the subsequent letter he had received after the Brotherband's march on Cyrodiil, Dainsleif agreed to accompany him in his search for the man.

The men proceeded to make their way to the Mages Guild — Gondul admitting that he was somewhat nervous to reunite with his best friend, as the last time he saw him was when they landed in Solitude after their voyage south from Atmora. Nevertheless, they entered the Mages Guild, speaking with a Disciple who directed them to speak with an apprentice named Razorec Agarwen, who was downstairs supposedly with Guilidus.

The men proceeded downstairs and addressed the man, who was curious as to how he may help them. When Gondul mentioned his name, the Dunmer asked if he was the man that Guilidus had spoken of. Gondul jumped at the name, asking where he was.

The Dunmer explained that Guilidus was with him for quite some time, coming to him in rags from Coldharbour in the midst of him performing a summoning spell. They had chatted about his journey from Atmora and his friends as Razorec tended to his wounds. However, he explained that a group of wormcultists had raided the Guild halls days before, taking him prisoner and dragging him off — supposedly to nearby ruins, likely in an attempt to cast him back into Coldharbour.

Razorec offered to lead the men to the ruins, to which Gondul impatiently accepted. They galloped through the gates of Ebonheart towards the ruins, eventually arriving before it, where they all fought several clannfear together. Razorec demonstrated to by quite the skilled mage in the process.

After making their way up the stony steps, they found a large man laying on the cracked floor in rags. Gondul ran to him, lifting his friend up into his arms — however, three flame atronachs appeared. Dainsleif quickly killed them himself, protecting the other three men.

As Guilidus awoke, he laid eyes on Dainsleif, asking him who he was. He explained he was a friend of Gondul's, to which he reacted with groggy joy. Gondul confirmed he was alive as Guilidus finally noticed his presence. After embracing one another, Guilidus' weakly asked many questions, but Gondul simply insisting they must first get him to safety.

Gondul thanked Razorec with tears in his eyes, and together the four men rode for the Ebonheart Pact camp, Jorunn's Stand, in Eastmarch.

Upon their arrival, Gondul laid his sleeping friend in a healer's tent, and proceeded to join Razorec and Dainsleif around a fire with mead. After a brief period of merriment, the Headmaster ordered Dainsleif to finish his drink, as they had to report to General Noramil — by order of the High King. Gondul invited Razorec to come along, who humbly accepted. The time had come to commence the final assault against Fildgor and the Stormfists.

Gondul, Dainsleif and Razorec spoke with General Yeveth, who briefed them on the battle plan. He asked the men to sneak into Skuldafn with one of the Pact scouts while the main forces distracted Fildgor's army. The men gave the General a salute, setting off to follow his command.

Upon grouping with the scout, he pointed out that Fildgor's flank was exposed, directing the men to speak with Thane Mera Stormcloak, who already led a small unit through the caverns into Skuldafn, and that they must find a way to move the rest of the men through the pass without drawing attention from the Stormfists.

After making their way to Thane Mera, she explained they were waiting for King Jorunn's troops and Gondul's men to arrive — but that Fildgor was moving quickly. She advised the men to set fire to the Stormfist's nearby supply carts in order to spark confusion and chaos amongst their ranks, and to then light a signal fire after they were finished in order to signal the King to advance his and Gondul's men.

After they made their way into Skuldafn, stealthily killing Stormfists and burning supplies, Gondul, Dainsleif and Razorec lit the signal fire. War horns could be heard in the distance as a large force approached, some of whom could be identified as Ruby Brotherband recruits.

After fighting their way down the mountain to regroup with the main force, Gondul, Dainsleif and Razorec are joined by Zanthor and J'Shearra. Together, the Brotherband press onward through the caverns of Skuldafn. Soon after they stood before an apparition of Queen Nurnhilde.

She could sense the Pact troops coming up the mountain, but explained that they would be too late — that it now lied to the Brotherband to stop Fildgor. She explained further that Fildgor had already forced his way into Sovngarde to use her essence in an attempt to convince the Crown of Freydis to accept him.

She promised to speak to the Watcher at the bridge who guarded the entrance to Sovngarde o behalf of each of them, so they may enter Sovngarde as her champions. After a solemn confirmation, the Brotherband pressed onward.

After fighting their way to the column of light that led into Sovngarde, Gondul and Zanthor leapt into it while Dainsleif, Razorec and J'Shearra stayed back. Gondul and Zanthor then found themselves within Sovngarde, soon confronted by Fildgor, and a long lasting fight ensued.

After besting the usurper together, he yielded before them, wounded. Gondul decided to allow King Jorunn to decide his fate. Gondul and Zanthor dragged Fildgor out of Sovngarde, where they returned to Skuldafn. As the Brotherband regrouped and were making their way up the mountain, a massive flesh atronach spawned from a gaping black hole in the sky, intercepting them.

As the Brotherband ran for cover, Razorec summoned a large magic barrier, protecting them, allowing for the rest of the Brotherband to bring Fildgor to the King.

After regrouping together once more and evading the flesh atronach, Gondul directed Razorec to return to Jorunn's Stand and check up on Guilidus as the Ruby Brotherband wrapped up things up with Fildgor. Razorec nodded and set off.

The Ruby Brotherband then brought Fildgor before a council of all the Ebonheart Pact delegates, including High King Jorunn. Together, all three of the representatives held a Great Moot.

After speaking with the King and reassuring him of his sister's wellbeing in Sovngarde, King Jorunn confronted his wounded brother. After a dramatic conversation, the King plunged his sword through his brother's heart, killing him.

He proclaimed before the council and the Brotherband to seal the Ebonheart Pact for the greater good.

Eyes-of-Steel stepped forward, confirming on behalf of the Argonians that they would honor the Pact.

General Yeveth Noramil also proceeded to step forward, affirming the Dunmer's place amongst the Pact.

King Jorunn placed the Crown of Freydis forward as an offering from the Nords, General Yeveth placed forth the Judgement of Veloth; a large hammer, and Eyes-of-Steel placed forward the Mnemic Egg.

Altogether, the delegates agreed to elect King Jorunn the leader of the Ebonheart Pact. The King proceeded to ask the Ruby Brotherband to return to Jorunn's stand to inform his son, Prince Irnskar, of what had happened.

The Headmaster nodded, and together the Brotherband set off for the camp.
