Description:

These acts were put in place to hurt the colonists economically in retaliation after Boston Tea Party.
Included port of Boston act which closed the harbor and prevented trade. Government of New England Act allowed the King to appoint all officials. Government of Massachusetts Act banned town meetings to prevent revolt against against British Government.
Declaration of Martial Law made military in charge of law. Quebec Act extended a boundary to Ohio River.
These acts caused colonies to see Massachusetts as a "martyr" and they all tried to support Massachusetts.
