Description:

There was an outrage of measles in the territory and it wiped out almost all of the Cayuse' children along with a small amount of the white's children. Several of the Cayuse Indians were angry and attacked the Mission, taking revenge on the whites for the treachery of bringing the disease and killed 14 of them, including the Whitmans. They also burnt the buildings.
