Alex is alone on base [D’Qar] while everyone is out on a mission. She is all by herself and her loneliness is getting to her. Ben is on the Finalizer planning what to do about a tip he got about the Skywalker map being in Tuanul but his worry of losing the map is making it difficult to truly focus. They connect due to Alex’s mind wandering off to a conversation she heard today between some Resistance fighters that Kylo Ren had killed someone [Meeko] in search of something. She let’s the thoughts distract her as she works and soon she appears in Ben’s room.
