Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the United States serving from 1829-37. He was the leader of the new Democratic Party in the Second Party System. Jackson was all for states rights and the westward expansion of slavery. However, he objected the national bank. He had a large role in the relocation of Native Americans to the east of the Mississippi.
