20 déc. 2015 - China-Australia Free Trade Agreement Signed

Description:

- On the 20 December 2015, China and Australia officially signed their Free Trade Agreement, ChAFTA.
Agreement intended to increase relations and economic partnership between the countries to continue to expand mutual trade.
- The ChAFTA facilitated huge exports for the Australian mining industry and overall economic growth for Australia by heavily reducing tariffs for Australian exports to China. - For example, total value for exports to China had risen to $116 billion AUD revenue for Australia by 2017.
- The agreement was the point in which iron ore and other minerals like coal, increased in production, demand from Asia and prices, exponentially, with minerals overtaking agriculture as the dominant trade industry
- Successes of the mining industry and agreement bolstered Chinese investments and stimulated Australian economic growth and local production, with all sectors benefitting.
