1 janv. 1912 - Graflex shutter (1912)

Description:

The Graflex shutter is made in 1912. The Graflex shutter curtain consists of a long length of linen, sealed with rubberized black paint, applied by hand (you can still see the brush strokes in this example). Along its length are slits of different widths from full-frame to 1/8th inch, coupled with the varying tension of the shutter gave this camera a remarkable range of 24 shutter speeds, from 1/10th sec. This camera was a very slow shutter speed. So you have to set the focal plane shutter speed required a slit width and a spring tension. This camera was made in 1910, so it was very hard to take a picture of it. Because every time I took a picture, I needed a lot of processes and the quality of the picture was not good. But in the 1910s, I think this camera must have been a very innovative product.
